During the D23 Expo, the long-awaited convention dedicated to Disney and its properties, the expected first trailer of the third season of The Mandalorian.

The first teaser notably raises the action level and once again focuses on the relationship between little Grogu, also known as Baby Yoda, and Djinn Darin, who is determined to survive. The two are finally reunited after Grogu decides not to complete Jedi training with Luke Skwalker. The plot of the new episodes is still under lock and key, but we know it will follow the events seen in Boba Fett’s Bookand that Djinn Darin will have to deal with the consequences of removing his helmet, embarking on a journey in search of redemption on his home planet, Mandalore.

In the new episodes of the series, the disturbing Moff Gideon embodied by Giancarlo Espositoand Greef Karga, again played by the eternal Carl Weathers. Katee Sackhoff will reprise the role of Bo-Katan Kryze after his debut in the series’ second season, and we’ll also see the entry into the cast of Christopher Lloydalso in its absolute debut in the universe of star wars in the role of an as yet unknown character.

According to an unconfirmed rumor, the cast of the series should also be present Liu Bordizzowho will bring to the series the live-action version of Sabine Wren, a character already seen in the animated series of star wars rebels.

Since its debut 3 years ago in 2019, The Mandalorian has quickly established itself as one of the most popular and appreciated series in the catalog offered by Disney+. Currently, it is still the most-watched show on the streaming service, having so far achieved the considerable result of 14.52 billion total minutes enjoyed by users, as well as an avalanche of more than positive reactions from from critics and the public.

The long-awaited third season of The Mandalorian will come streaming on Disney+ in February 2023.
