The 18-year-old is strongly tipped to have agreed terms with the Raiders.

Reports in Australia claim Wigan’s Harry Rushton has signed for Canberra.

The 18-year-old forward has been linked with a move to the Raiders for several weeks, following successful transitions made by fellow former Warriors George Williams, John Bateman and Ryan Sutton.

And Nine Wide World of Sports columnist The Mole says Rushton has agreed a three-year deal.

The report adds: “A member of England’s academy side, Rushton has been 19th man for Wigan before the COVID-19 shut-down and is highly regarded by the Warriors coach, Papua New Guinea legend Adrian Lam.

“Wigan want to hang on to Rushton but he is off contract and reportedly keen to make the big move to the NRL.”
