Will Forsyth played for Dewsbury in 2015.
Dewsbury are mourning the passing of one of their former players following a battle against cancer.
Will Forsyth was a Reserves Championship winner with the Rams in 2015 and made a handful of appearances for the first time, including against Warrington in the Challenge Cup.
Forsyth’s Reserves Coach at the Rams, Jonathan Schofield, led tributes: “Will played a big part in the team, he went about his business in a quiet way and was always professional.
“Will was a good lad to coach and had the respect of us all, especially his team mates.
“He was great to have around the dressing room & will be sadly missed by everyone.”
Several of Will’s former team-mates have posted tributes on social media.
Had the pleasure of 2 seasons with Will at Dewsbury. Great bloke, not a bad bone in his body. He will be sadly missed. Condolences to his family, 24 is no age at all. Rest in peace brother. https://t.co/DkmdW6jIbX
