Ottawa have snapped up another former Widnes player in the shape of utility prospect Sam Wilde.

The 24-year-old played for Warrington in the 2016 Super League Grand Final and enjoyed spells on loan with Rochdale and London before joining the Vikings in 2018.

He becomes the latest Ottawa signing from Widnes following Ted and Jay Chapelhow.

Wilde said: “I’m absolutely buzzing to have signed for the Ottawa Aces next season.

“I’m really looking forward to getting started and meeting the rest of the squad.

“Exciting times ahead and I can’t wait to get over to Ottawa to meet all the fans.”
