I’ve been trying to direct another movie for years, but I’ve been busy with acting and other aspects of my life. – Buscemi told us in our interview, which you can find at the bottom of the article – But when I read the script for this film I found it so beautiful, I loved the character of Beth. I loved the shades because there were so many of them. When I read it, I felt that I wanted to be part of the project”.

I don’t think it’s a pandemic movie, if anything it has the aftermath of the pandemic and Covid, but that’s not what it’s about – explained the director, who in his career has worked with many great authors of American cinema such as Scorsese, the Coens, Tarantino – As human beings, we have always faced problems such as mental illness, loneliness, depression, or having to deal with economic and spiritual crises. These are things that have always existed, perhaps the pandemic has only exacerbated these dynamics”.
