James Gunn, well-known director of guardians of the galaxy And The Suicide Squadhas historically always maintained good relations with the actors he has directed in his films.

Gunn’s human sensibility is well known in the industry, a gift that has also distinguished him in the inevitable social controversies. Indeed, the director has never hesitated to intervene to defend his colleagues and collaborators, and has always expressed his opinions online with extreme clarity and frankness.

All this in fact one of the actors’ most beloved directors but, given his open-mindedness and the friendship he tends to build skillfully, there are some aspects that Gunn doesn’t compromise on.

During a Q&A with fans on Twitter, the director was asked about the cast and crew selection process regarding his projects. Answer a user’s question about the procedure in the event of an actor appearing unprofessional or problematic on set, the director gave a very direct answer as did his costume:

Read:  Jean Krasinski: Age, Wife And Film With The Office Actor

If we talk about temperament and things get serious, I demand his immediate replacement. Life’s too short to follow bitches. Same goes if they’re repeatedly late, which I hate, or if they’re unprepared. I have a long list of actors, known or not, with whom I will never work for these very reasons.“.

Responding to another user, Gunn also explained that he is less rigid in its demands on the actors in relation to a time. If there is a problem with the performance of an actor – who despite the deep difficulties all his commitment to the role assigned to him – the director will try to help him in every way, considering the recast only if it could affect the final quality of the film.
