The Fabelmansthe expected new film from Steven Spielberg, finally shows up in the intense first official trailer. The film premiered on Saturday at the Toronto International Film Festival, arousing the enthusiasm of the public who gave its author a long standing ovation.
It is a project semi-biographical, in which the director will tell – through fictional characters – the years of his youth, the relationship with his parents and family and the birth of his love for cinema. The events of the film will take place over a 13-year period between the 1950s and 1960s. The protagonist is young Sammy Fabelman (Gabriel LaBelle), eldest son of housewife Mitzi (Michelle Williams) and engineer Burt Fabelman (Paul Dano). Discovering his great passion for cinema, Sammy embarks on the making of short films, an activity in which he will find relief from the constant moves due to his father’s career.
In addition to directing the film, Spielberg also penned the screenplay in collaboration with Tony Kushner. Spielberg is also producing the film along with Kushner himself and Macosko Krieger. The duration of the film will amount to 151 minutes, and will take advantage of the photography of Janusz Kaminsky and the soundtrack of the maestro John Williamsnow a longtime Spielberg collaborator.

In the casting of the film we find michelle williams in the role of Mitzi Fabelman, Paul Dano as Burt Fabelman and Seth Rogen in that of Bennie Loewy, while Gabriel LaBelle will be the young Sammy Fabelman.
