Over the past two years, Ezra Miller – star of the long-awaited the flash – has been at the center of several controversial episodes and aggressive behavior that has repeatedly brought him to the attention of the police.
In recent weeks, the actor seemed to have come to terms with his own poor mental healththus interrupting his continued wandering in the United States and declaring: “Having recently gone through a period of intense crisis, I now understand that I suffer from complex mental health issues and have started treatment to resolve them. I want to apologize to anyone I have alarmed and upset about my behavior in the past. I commit to doing the work necessary to return to a healthy, safe and productive phase of my life“.
The actor’s personal situation could clearly harm the commercial success of the film, whose future has recently come under intense scrutiny. In this regard, the The Hollywood Reporter revealed how talks are currently underway between the rambunctious actor and the upper echelons of Discovery of Warner Bros. in order to foster the success of the film, considered one of the fundamental cornerstones for the future of DC Extended Universe.
Miller reportedly met and his agent met with new film executives from Warner Bros. Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy to discuss strategy with the flash by the time the film comes out. The actor also reportedly reaffirmed his commitment to cinemain turn apologizing for the negative attention brought to the production and the majors due to his actions.
The two executives reportedly showed the young actor all of the options being considered for the film’s future, including the more extreme one of canceling it altogether in case Miller didn’t put a stop to his madness. According to some sources, it would have remained deeply troubled the idea of a possible cancellation of the film, so much so that he found the motivation necessary to undergo psychological therapy.
The non-preferred actor’s executives and agent haven’t commented on the content of the clash, though it appears to have been beneficial for both sides. This would bode well for the success of the film’s release, which is currently facing test screenings that would have positively impressed the public concerned.
The American release of the flash is currently set for June 23, 2023.
